follow this simple 3 steps

Accurate procedures to manage and record lost and found items.

To be able to retrieve any left items after departure

  • Stored items recorded appropriately

        Inform appropriate

           supervisor/coordinator.

           Contact Front Office.

       If guest still on premises, item can be returned immediately.


  • If guest already left/ item found in public area.

          Fill out standardized Lost & Found form, time and date and location of item, description of item found, name of finder, as well as guest information, if known.

         Record finding in the lost and found record book.


  • Keep item in Lost & Found store.

          Items of lower value will be kept for six months, before being returned to the finder.  These items may be kept in the general lost and found area.

       Items of higher value will be kept for one year before being returned to the finder.  These         items must be kept in the safe in the Executive Housekeepers Office.
