HANDLING DND (DO NOT DISTURB) GUEST ROOM

• This is the most importent part of the room boy  daily work.

In this segment i will going to explain how to svae the job and how to save the day .

becouse most of the guest are not like to enter there room trespass. so this is most importent part all housekeeping staff . 

• To not be disturbed by staff during room status of DND (Do not Disturb)

Check guest room status
Give notice to guest
Guest Room status is DND (Do Not Disturb) for more than 1 days

Check guest room status

-         Every room includes the DND (Do Not Disturb) function which should be noted by the appropriate Housekeeping staff.  Interruptions should only be made after the agreed extended period (AOP is 24 hours) or in the case of an emergency.

-     DND light available at door

-      Check with the front office status ( by mistake some guest are put wrong signe to the door signe bell )

Give notice to guest

-         The responsible staff member also needs to note that servicing of room was unsuccessful.  Housekeeping supervisor should be advised.

-         A printed notice in accordance with AOP should be placed under the guest door to advise that a type of service was attempted.

Guest Room status is DND (Do Not Disturb) for more than 1 days

-         If the "Do Not Disturb" sign is still on the Guestroom door after 24 hours, a welfare check is performed by a supervisor or a Manager together with security Manager

-         After 24 hours a welfare check should be performed on the guest by a Supervisor or Manager.
