Supervisors
inspect guest rooms after the regular servicing by room attendants has been
completed.

The
rooms need to be checked in accordance with checklists. This includes but is
not limited to checking the condition of the bathroom, the guest room floor,
all FFE Fixtures inside of closets and drawers, as well as all the condition of
all linen used in the room.
·
Supervisor
needs to contact the staff member(s) that previously serviced the room, point
out the condition, and have that person improve the condition.
·
After
re-completing the servicing, supervisor needs to inspect again, to ensure
everything has been done in accordance with expectations.
·
The
rooms need to be reviewed for replacement of amenities and guest supplies,
which should be replaced as required and in accordance with AOP.
·
The
supervisor needs to contact the staff member(s) that previously serviced the
room, and request for the items to be delivered.
·
A
final check should be completed to ensure everything has been bought to standard.
·
All
electronics should be checked to ensure they are in proper working order. Particular attention should be paid to all
lighting and the TV & telephone.
·
Report
any items to be repaired or replaced appropriately. Ensure the room is not available for use
until these items have been made guest ready.
Brief Associates
Supervisors
should brief associates daily on topics such as areas of special attention,
property movements and events being held.
Organize Staff
Associates
should be organized to ensure effective work flow in the most efficient and
enjoyable manner. The main cleaning of public areas should take place outside
of peak times (most suitably overnight)
If Public Area is not clean

The
main function for a public area supervisor is to ensure that all public spaces,
restaurants and event rooms are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and
maintenance.
·
Items
needing correction should be assigned to the associates as quickly as possible
and a follow up walkthrough completed.
