Conduct Briefing

Supervisors are required to brief all their associates
before the beginning of any shift.

Supervisors are need to
record maintenance defects and need to coordinate with the maintenance
department to get the job complete.

Check duty roster for staff on duty and ensure all positions are covered.
Replace uncovered positions with reliever.

the briefing checks whether the staff has any questions and that they know what
to do. This will avoid mistakes from happening.

The briefing contains crucial information that aids the
associates with performing their duties; information may contain but is not
limited to daily movements, occupancy, VIP and repeat guests, Special Occasion
and returning Complaint guests.

Supervisors need to organize their staff in the most
effective and efficient manner. Supervisors create the working schedules for
their associates which clearly outlines the different areas of the property for
which employees are responsible.

Once working schedules are in place, supervisors are to
ensure that all associates are performing their duties accordingly.
·
Inspect Rooms
·
Any
handover items forwarded from the previous shift should be reviewed and closed
by the supervisors.
·
Any
complaints should be reviewed and investigated as appropriate to ensure/ retain
guest satisfaction.
·
Go
through pending rooms to be checked.
·
Late
departures for cleaning.
·
Maintenance
to follow-up.
·
Special
guest requests.
·
Extra
items placed or needed in rooms.
·
DND
for follow up.
·
Special
work assignments to be completed.
·
VIPs
or groups to look after.
·
Ensure
that all these items are recapped in the log book.
·
Supervisors
may be required to perform a number of other duties in accordance with their
position descriptions.
