· The
floor pantry is a store that stocks linen and supplies for given floor.Due to
the usage of service areas cleaning shall preferably occur during minimum hours
of operation.

The
floor pantry should be kept locked at all times as expensive assets like line,
guest supplies, are stored here. The room should be clean at all times especially
when the staff goes off duty.

that it will be easier to replenish extra items.

Storage Tips

Brushes
must not rest in bristles

Dusters
must be dried before storing
·
Buckets
must be emptied of all water and dried before storing
·
At
the end of the shift all used magazine, newspapers, and empty bottles are sent
to the garbage disposable area where independent bins for each are allocates.
Rules on a Guest floor
1. Room
attendants must always be in uniform and should appear properly groomed when
entering the floors as this reflects on the image of the property.
2. They
should reach the floor by the service elevator and enter floor through the
service elevator. The guest elevators are meant for guest only

Speech among the floor staff must be restricted to the minimum. In case
communication is necessary, this must be done in low tones even when guest are
not in sight. It is possible some guests are asleep and want no disturbance.
4.
Unnecessary movements like running or jumping should be avoided such movements
can disturb guests in the room.
5. The
passageway must be kept free of equipment, trays trolleys, Maids cart are kept
along the wall.
6. Room
attendants may enter only those rooms that allocated to them.
